A love Story
Katy, originally from California, met Stephane Strouk, a Frenchman, while backpacking in Europe and they fell madly in love. After marrying and living in Paris for a few years, they decided to move to Los Angeles in the early 1990s. They opened a creperie, and later, a small cheese counter called Mr. Marcel.
(The shop was named after Stephane's father, who ironically hated cheese!)
their little shop has grown over the past 30 years...

Today, Monsieur Marcel is a bustling establishment that houses a gourmet market, seafood market and two restaurants, a classic french bistro as well as our newest venture, Roxy & Jo's Seafood Grill and Oyster Bar.
